Week 1 / by Kayleigh Innes

It’s the beginning of the new year, 2024. I’m sure I did make new years resolutions last year but seeing as I didn’t write them down anywhere or tell them to anyone, it seems I’ve completely forgotten what they were.

I love the idea of a fresh start and improving things about myself - that’s the problem. I love so much the idea of becoming a better version of myself that obsess about doing it perfectly, and then when I inevitably fail, I’m too frustrated to continue or try again.

So, although I know I absolutely will not be able to do all these resolutions, I still want to have a record of the goals I wanted to set at the start of the year, and I want to give myself permission to pursue these goals imperfectly.
